Amongst the lot, Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc created history by becoming the highest-ever sold cricketer in IPL's history at INR 24.75 crores on December 19 in the IPL auctions in Dubai. Mitchell Starc was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders; his base price was INR 2 crores.

Cummins had a base price of Rs 2 crore, where the bidding started between CSK and Mumbai Indians. With the price range going up from Rs 4.8 crores to Rs 7.40 crores then took a high leap to Rs 8.4 crores.
